Job Title: Asbestos Specialist
Location: 60% office / site based - available hubs are Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Blackpool, Glasgow
Contract Duration: 31/3/26 (Ext tbc)
Daily Rate: £500 pd + expenses for any travel not including local hub
IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead asbestos management across the estate, ensuring compliance and safety.
• Maintain and update asbestos registers, surveys, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with consultants and contractors to ensure effective performance and compliance.
• Provide technical advice and support on asbestos-related issues.
• Review documentation and oversee corrective actions.
• Support data collection and analysis for asset management.
• Assist in audits, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to policy development and strategic planning.
Reporting To: Asset Intelligence Manager

Essential Experience & Skills:
• Extensive experience managing asbestos across large estates.
• Strong knowledge of asbestos legislation and compliance.
• Experience working with outsourced teams and consultants.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organisational and audit experience.
Qualifications (Essential):
• BOHS P402 & P405 (or equivalent)
• NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
Desirable:
• BOHS P403/404
• HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering or Building Services
• NEBOSH Diploma
• Chartered Membership (e.g., IMechE, CIBSE)
