Our client the leading Government Defence organisation is seeking a SC cleared Data Systems Manager for an initial 6 month contract based in Gosport

Pay Rate to Candidate: £443.88p/d Umbrella Pay rate

Minimum Requirement: 
1) Experience in IT security specifically when it comes to defence applications
2) Experience in handling end-user queries (creating accounts) 

JSP 440, Defence experience 
• Qualified as Defence Cryptographic Custodian. 
• Qualified as Team Site Administrator
Active directory + Windows Server
Description:   To provide sound guidance, analysis and support on systems and information management matters. Deliver excellent services, especially in the areas of developing the Business Critical Systems, analysing complex data and information, designing management information. Lead the development of centrally managed tools and techniques to ensure strong operational. Support daily business operations and work across the unit to deliver team priorities. Deliver specific system development projects in line with the brief provided; Ensure that the Systems enables the team to conduct robust analysis across the programme. Lead the development of the key management information reports.

Job description:
OB title - Data & Systems Manager

To act as the departments IT security officer and system administrator for the Nuclear Faculties computer networks.
Requiring knowledge of the following:
The security policies and procedures specific to IT systems holding NNPPI.
•    Understand the relationship between IT systems and Defence specific installations as per JSP 604: Defence Manual of Information and Communication Technology.
•    Knowledge of Windows Server 2016, 2012 R2 and 2008 including Hyper-V Virtualisation.
•    Knowledge of network architecture essentials including TCP/IP.
•    Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems including Windows 10, 8, 7 and XP.
•    Qualified as Defence Cryptographic Custodian.
•    Qualified as Team Site Administrator
This will require any applicant to be able to:
•    Respond rapidly to deficiencies in specialist systems during time critical student research projects.
•    Design and implement hardware and software solutions which release constraints imposed on the underlying solution algorithms.
•    Implement and maintain Server hardware and operating systems including virtual technology environments.
•    Implement and maintain network architecture solutions.
•    Build and deploy end user devices including computers and mobile devices. Maintain hardware, software and operating systems.
•    Implement cryptographic solutions appropriate to the classification
Carry out Nuclear Faculty IT security officer dutiers, system administrator and controller of the faculty's networks. Issue and control of faculty IT assets.
