Role: In Service Engineer
Contract Length: 6 Months
Location: Corsham, Wiltshire
Security Clearance: SC Cleared (Must be active)
The In Service Engineer provides support or leadership on the technical aspects of the in-service phase. They seek to apply engineering best practice, ensure that all stakeholders are effectively managed throughout the engineering activities, involve specialists as required and actively consider safety implications before making decisions. Provide technical support through life to the User and other projects, involving and interfacing with Suppliers and specialists as required Take responsibility to deliver delegated technical work packages, making sure that safety aspects are considered Work with Users and Suppliers to ensure the overarching capability is realised to its full potential Minimise and manage the risk to availability, whilst ensuring that the solution remains safe and fit for purpose through life Manage the obsolescence of components, and ensure that the solution is properly disposed of (or terminated) when appropriate.
Manage Change Requests and Accommodation for Corsham. This team of 3 originally managed Corsham and Boddington and Athena House, however in recent years they have taken on St Vincent, St Mawgan and Rudloe South site. The Change team also complete works for sites outside of these Establishments with an advisory role. Boddington has gone from being a data centre and minor fall back facility to a fully functioning working environment for not only the GOSCC but other business units and has had lots of Infra works completed on it in the last few years.
Key Skills Required:
- Project Management experience
- APMP or equivalent
- BS7671/EE Wiring regulations awareness
