Our client is a leading Central Government body undergoing a hughe IT transformation program. They are now seeking a Senior Infrastructure Project Manager to join their team for 3 month+ extensions.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our client where you will be supporting a large scale and radical transformation that will have a profound impact for both the customers and the staff. Our client has one of the largest IT estates in Europe ranging from data analytics platforms to complex legacy systems. The breadth, variety and complexity of these systems and business processes they support are on a scale rarely seen in other global organisations, hence this is an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to be involved in an exciting transformation programme that includes the removal of Technical Debt, the migration to Public Cloud and the exit of supplier Data Centres. 

• Report to the  Programme Manager
• Be responsible for Infrastructure change projects from definition, and initiation through to successful completion 
• Develop end to end delivery plans by engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders 
• Effectively manage deliveries to planned time, cost and quality
• Engage with key stakeholders  and drive delivery through providing effective leadership to both internal business leads and external delivery partners, taking responsibility for managing supplier relationships 
• Identify, assess, manage and report risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions and decisions
• Adopt Agile methodology / best practices to aid a transparent delivery
• Be supportive and approachable with good communication skills to assist Delivery Groups and the Project Management community with the delivery of technical solutions
• Preserve best interests during engagements with technology partners 

Key Knowledge and Skills (Experience):
Basic Qualifications
• Significant project management delivery experience
• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers
• Strong written communication skills
• High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly

Preferred Qualifications 
• Prince2/CIPT/ APM/ MAPM/ Agile practitioner
