Role: Oracle HCM Absence and OTL Specialist

Contract Length: 6 Months initially

Location: Milton Keynes or London (Remote until further notice)

IR35: Outside

Rate: £600-£620/day

Security Clearance: SC Cleared (Must be active) and UK National

The Role:

  • An Oracle HCM specialist in Absence and Time & Labour is required to support and deliver our implementation of Oracle Cloud.
  • This is an important role within the HCM team, working closely with our business colleagues and systems implementer to ensure the system is configured using best practice and standard functionality.
  • Demonstrable experience on designing and configuring Oracle Absence Management and Oracle Time & Labour based on clients wider HR needs.
  • Knowledge of other Oracle HCM modules beneficial – Core HR and Payroll.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with client and system integrator, shaping the scope and solution based on client requirements.
  • Experience of coaching and supporting the business to execute system and user acceptance testing.
  • Ability to develop complex functional designs for system functionality, reports, integrations, etc.

Essential Skills Required:

  • 5+ years’ experience implementing Oracle HCM Cloud
  • Oracle Cloud Absence implementation x 2 minimum
  • Oracle Cloud Time & Labour implementation x 2 minimum
  • Demonstrable experience on designing and configuring Oracle Absence Management and Time and Labour.

Desirable Skills

  • Good understanding of Absence and OTL Fast Formula and ability to modify where needed.
  • Knowledge of other Oracle HCM modules beneficial – Core HR and Payroll.
  • Prior experience in an Oracle Cloud environment

Deliverables / Work Package

  • Deliver configuration to support Process Playbacks during Proof of Concept (POC) covering FCO, FCOS and Local Staff (Global). All processes demonstrated in Process Playbacks in POC
  • Update Absence and Time & Labour Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) with requirements, solutions and processes. Absence and OTL RTM signed off by Business Process Owners
  • Configuration workbooks. Signed off by Business Process Owners
  • Process Design Document. Signed off by Business Process Owners
  • Build up Absence and Time & Labour functionality after POC to cover all configuration required for FCO, FCOS and Local Staff. All configuration completed and successful entry into System Integration Testing.
  • Support the delivery of Absence and OTL reports, including design, writing specifications, testing, etc. Required reports designed.
  • Support System Integration Testing
  • Support Delivery Manager on programme related tasks and meetings.


  • Document / Deliverable, drafted, reviewed, approved and issued.
  • Build and embed capability and methodology within the Programme Team.
  • Build capability and capacity using External Suppliers / Partners
  • Provide data / analytics / assessment information for use across the Programme
  • Provide software / tools for use by the Programme
  • Achieve completion of a key Programme milestone
  • End user impact [Ln] Signoff level required [Ln  Ln] Signoff levels required in sequence
