Role: Project Manager - Grants

Location: Glasgow (flexibility to work from home but needs to be onsite sometime)

IR35: Inside

Rate: £500-700/day (umbrella)

Duration: Until October 31st

Minimum Requirement:

  • Demonstrable understanding of how grants schemes are developed and awarded across the lifecycle of a grant, including the digital tools used to manage these
  • Public Sector experience

Experience required:

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders influencing and supporting decision-makers
  • Work across the organisation and with other government departments to understand the impact of proposed product changes on their business
  • Be able to identify what good looks like and the methodologies to enable the assessment of the status of ongoing work
  • Undertake workshops and 1:1 meetings with a wide range of stakeholders and build an evidence-based cohesive narrative for what next steps should be taken
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of digital specialists, policy professionals and grant experts to resolve issues and bring expertise through the development process,
  • Develop an expert understanding of the users’ needs and championing these in the delivery of your product
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly
  • Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders from across government and externally
  • Understands and identifies problems, analysing and helping to identify the appropriate solution
  • Ability to present articulate and credible narratives at all levels of an organisation including being able to resolve entrenched positions with senior stakeholders
  • Extensive experience of leading stakeholder engagement and influencing senior stakeholders outside of your team/function
  • Demonstrable understanding of how grants schemes are developed and awarded across the lifecycle of a grant, including the digital tools used to manage these
  • Demonstrable experience of being self-driven, able to create, prioritise and deliver projects or work on your own
  • Experience of acting as a subject matter expert
  • Self driven/independent working
